Each print is made to order on archival Hahnemühle fine-art paper, with the soft finish of an old-master oil painting style, and sized to fit standard frames.
The work
If the mallard is the people's duck, the pintail is the connoisseur's. Everything about the drake is long and fine: the slim neck, the chocolate head with its clean white stripe, the namesake tail that trails behind him on the water like a held note. It is the duck serious collectors keep coming back to.
The piece favours those long lines and a light, warm finish, all quiet elegance. It sits well with the mallard and the wood duck as a three-duck set, and holds its own as a single, understated print.
